AND Breathe…

10.03.14

It’s a real slippery slope from I can do all the things! to I’ve made a huge mistake.

Do you ever feel like your workload is so full that you don’t know where to start and end up a little…frozen in fear?

Yeah, I’ve been there for a couple days now.

So for today, I leave you (and me!) with this simple reminder:

I’m going for a walk to clear my head before settling down to work with a nice hot cup of chamomile tea. Hopefully that will loosen the knot of anxiety in my chest.

And hopefully you are in a calmer place than me today! What helps you relax when you do feel overwhelmed?

Peace out, friends.

  1. Alll the time. I was just talking about this on Friday. I try to keep all my to-dos and lists in their spots so I know that I can review it and pick what’s most important or urgent. I have a few ways I pick what I should do for the day – one is going off an “anxiety list” (listing what’s making me anxious and picking one or two to work on) or using an urgent/non-urgent and important/regular status grid to plot out what I have to do. I try to use the GTD principles for work and create task lists for the following day — but I never manage to do the Weekly Review. Personal tasks, however, are a lot messier. I need to figure out how to keep those better organized.
