No-carve pumpkins may be all the rage for our crazy busy go go go lives, but….I’ve been really itching to carve a pumpkin.
Last year a bunch of our friends got together and we all did so while watching horror movies. SO FUN. (Minus the horror movie part, I’m a wuss).
So if you’ve been missing the good old days of pumpkin carving, grab some friends, your favorite pumpkin varieties, and some food and drink, and host a fall craft date this weekend!
EAT
Spinach artichoke twice-baked potatoes | Paleo Running Momma
DRINK
Pear rosemary spritzer | The Merrythought
MAKE
Pumpkin lanterns | Design Love Fest
I thought these pumpkin lanterns make a lovely adult version of a ghoulish Jack-o-lantern, and they can be used beyond Halloween too. Spinach artichoke potatoes will keep you energized while you gut your pumpkins, and that pear rosemary spritzer has me positively drooling (add a dash of rum if you want a boozey version).
Make this craft date easy on yourselves! One person gathers the supplies for the craft, one for the food, and one for the drink. That way nobody has too much to do. Pitch in to cover the costs, throw on some mellow tunes (or the new season of Stranger Things, hello), and enjoy time crafting with friends.
And if you really, REALLY need no-carve pumpkins…I won’t judge. Here are some fun ideas to choose from:
Paint pen quote pumpkin | Black flower pumpkin | Tropical pumpkin | Winking eye pumpkin | Constellation pumpkin | Irridescent pumpkin | Drippy wax pumpkin
How are you getting in the Halloween spirit this weekend?
That pear rosemary spritzer sounds so delicious!
Doesn’t it??? I feel like making them for Thanksgiving this year. xoxo
So fun!! This is the makings of one FABULOUS night!
Yes!! Crafting always makes for a good night! xoxo
